Vegan Ma Po Tofu
Ingredients:
Nature’s Soy Large Soon Tofu, 1\2 package, cut into small cubes
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tsp Shallot, minced
1 tsp Vegetable oil
1\2 tsp Sesame oil
3 green onions, chopped
Sauce: 1 1\2 tsp Sugar, 1 1\2 tsp Salt, 1\2 cup Water, 1\2 cup Vegetable broth, 1 tbsp chili bean paste, 1 tbsp Tamari or soy sauce, 1\2 tsp White pepper
Corn Starch Paste: 1 tbsp Cornstarch and 1 tbsp Water mixed together
Instructions:
Mix sauce ingredients together and set aside.
Heat vegetable oil in a wok at medium-high heat. Brown garlic and shallot. Add pressed tofu and brown slightly.
Add tofu and sauce mixture. Add cornstarch paste. Bring to a boil.
Serve with a drizzle of sesame oil and garnish with green onions.
